Introduction to Sulawesi Shrimps

Just when you thought that Crystal Red Shrimp was the most fascinating freshwater water shrimps you ever saw, new and more beautiful freshwater shrimps was discovered in Sulawesi, Indonesia (previously known as Celebes). Sulawesi is the world's eleventh-largest island, covering an area of 174,600 km². Most of the animals are endemic, meaning it is only found in Sulawesi and no where else in the world. This explains why everyday there are more and more freshwater shrimps discovered in Sulawesi. To date, there are at least 10 species found, even naming the shrimps is a daunting task.

Through this blog, I would like to share my journal in keeping Sulawesi Shrimps.
